Hi, I'm Ruth!
I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is finding someone you genuinely feel comfortable with. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling stuck, we'll work together to better understand what's happening and build practical tools that support lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I strive to balance compassion with curiosity, helping clients develop insight while also working toward meaningful, achievable goals. I recognize that every person's story is unique, and I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I hold an Honours degree in Psychology from Saint Mary's University, a Master of Science in Psychiatry Research from Dalhousie University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My background in both research and clinical practice allows me to integrate evidence-based approaches with genuine human connection.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or hoping to better understand yourself, I'd be honoured to be part of your journey.
