Trauma Therapy Ontario

Online Trauma Therapy Across Ontario

Trauma can affect how we think, feel, relate to others, and experience the world around us. Whether your experiences stem from childhood, relationships or a specific event, trauma therapy can help you better understand your patterns, process difficult experiences, and move toward healing.

At Risework Therapy, our registered therapists provide online trauma therapy throughout Ontario. We offer compassionate, trauma-informed support to help clients feel safer, more connected, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges.

What Is Trauma?

We become traumatized when we experience a deeply distressing event (or series of events) that is too intense for the nervous system to handle. This leads to traumatic events being stored differently than other memories. The result is that trauma can affect us for a long time and can look like a tangled web of emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, images and reactions.

Trauma can make us feel stuck, struggling to make sense of our experiences or move forward.

Together, with the support of our registered therapists, we can untangle those knots, and rewrite your story from one of survival to one of thriving. Let's take that first step together.

This is brave, what you’re choosing to do, to face life’s hardest moments and work to move through them in pursuit of freedom from their impact on you.
